Which sites are listed

Candidate sites come from AI-related domains in public website ranking lists (top 1 million) and new products posted on Hacker News. Each domain's registration date is verified against official registry data (RDAP), and only sites registered after January 1, 2025 that meet the traffic criteria are included.Sites that the LLM determines are not AI tools will be removed; adult content sites are not included.

Traffic is estimated

We don't use paid traffic data. Monthly visits are estimated from public rankings: estimated monthly visits ≈ 8×10¹⁰ × rank^-1.15. Rank 1,000 is about 28 million, and rank 1,000,000 is about 10,000. Month-over-month growth is calculated from the ranking change over the past month. These numbers are good for comparing "who's rising" side by side, but not for precise traffic.

Payment channels & backlinks

Payment channels come from payment components or links such as Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Creem, PayPal, and Shopify found on homepages and in their scripts, indicating "payment detected" rather than actual revenue. The backlink ranking counts which external sites (directory sites, launch platforms, communities, etc.) the homepages of listed sites link to; frequency = number of sites linking to it.

Update frequency

Sites and rankings are fully updated once a month; the model route map updates daily; the trending list updates weekly. Each update keeps a snapshot of the previous version.
